The built-in sources are not demo spreadsheets. They expose typed records and actions the assistant can use: book, update, cancel, search, reserve, sell or adjust stock.

Bookings and appointments
Use Restaurant Booking, Appointment Scheduler or Service Booking with operating hours, capacity, duration and cancellation actions.

Campaigns and events
Use Event Ticketing for capacity and reservations, or Reward Codes for controlled single-use incentives and gated delivery.
Create a native source

Choose the operating model
Open Training → Knowledge → Add source and select the source type that matches the real constraint: stock, seats, time slots, services, tickets or codes.

Configure the business rules
Set hours, durations, capacity, currency, code rules or other source-specific fields. These fields become the boundaries for AI actions.

Add or import records
Create records manually or use the supported import path for larger product catalogs. Review required fields before attaching the source.

Attach, test and monitor
Enable the source on the relevant assistant. Test lookup plus a write action, then monitor records and source health during rollout.
Example: a salon without booking software
Create a Service Booking source with services, working hours, duration and price. The assistant can list services and book, update or cancel supported appointments.
Show the available haircut services and book the earliest 45-minute slot on Saturday.
Choose native when it wins
- Prefer the external system when it is already the operational source of truth.
- Use separate sources when two locations have different hours, stock or capacity.
- The PLC source extends the same pattern into physical operations: live sensor context and controlled actions.
